Mobile Apps Game for Training and Teaching Hearing Handicaps Children
This
research introduced a mobile application (app) game for teaching hearing
handicapped children. Hearing handicapped children are acknowledged to have
problems for teaching and learning. Addressing the problems of teaching hearing
handicapped children needs to take the advantages from the recent advanced mobile
technology, such as mobile app game.
The
researchers also proposed a design model for the development of mobile application
game that can teach and train the hearing handicapped children to learn new
knowledge and for speaking purposes. They also proposed the block diagram of the
voice recognition mobile apps game design for hearing handicapped children. They
adapted the mobile application that leverages some strategies from proven
behavior change theories: increasing interest of learning, fostering
motivation, self-efficacy and impacting handicapped peoples’ attitude to study.
Hello Ina,
BalasHapusThe mobile application game is very valuable for those children, especially the model that the researchers planed to develop, the application that will help the children to speak. Related to the mobile application game, did the children use it in the classroom or just for supporting device used outside classroom?
Thanks for the comment Anggri. Yes, it is used in the classroom but it is not English class.
HapusDear Azmina,
BalasHapusYour review about the use of game application for handicapped children is very knowledgeable. You also explain how that game application can help students to have better listening and speaking ability. however, I find an ambiguous sentence that is " Addressing the problems of teaching hearing handicapped children needs to take the advantages from the recent advanced mobile technology, such as mobile app game". So, who needs the advantage of mobile technology?.
Love,
Zahrotun Hanifah
Thanks for the comment Zahro. Based on my understanding, in overcoming the problem of teaching those children, we need technology. So that the Subject who needs the advantage technology is still the hearing handicapped children.
