Development of an Instructional Learning Object Design Model for Tablets Using Game-based Learning with Scaffolding to Enhance Mathematical Concepts for Mathematic Learning Disability Students

This study objectives were to develop an instructional Learning Object design model for tablet using game-based learning with scaffolding approach to enhance mathematical concept for learning disability students. It consisted of  four phases and this article only reported on phase one of the study by synthesizing the literature in relating to the instructional design models, LO for tablet, game-based learning and scaffolding approach, mathematical concept, and mathematics learning disability. The framework was presented in five elements along with 10 respective steps: 1) feasibility evaluation, 2) project planning, 3) need analysis, 4) functional analysis, 5) objective elimination, 6) identifying terminal objectives, 7) design, 8) develop, 9) implement, and 10) evaluation. It proposed the model and the research was not done yet. It needs further analysis so that the model gives benefits directly to mathematic learning disability students and teachers.

JOURNAL REVIEW: USING ICT IN LANGUAGE LEARNING AND TEACHING

Third Review Ghasemi, B., & Hashemi, M. (2011). ICT: Newwave in English language learning/teaching. Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences , 15 , 3098–3102. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.sbspro.2011.04.252 ICT: Newwave in English language learning/teaching This research analyze the development of using ICT in language learning and teaching. These technologies include computers, the Internet, broadcasting technologies (radio and television), and telephony. In recent years there has been a groundswell of interest in how computers and the Internet can best be harnessed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of education at all levels and in both formal and non-formal settings. The researchers propose that using ICT gives the learners real-life contact with, and exposure to, the cultures of the peoples and countries where the new language is spoken and enables children to access and research information worldwide. It also helps English language learners by enabli...

Fifth Review Yue, W. S., & Zin, N. A. M. (2013). Voice Recognition and Visualization Mobile Apps Game for Training and Teaching Hearing Handicaps Children. Procedia Technology , 11 (Iceei), 479–486. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.protcy.2013.12.218 Voice Recognition and Visualization Mobile Apps Game for Training and Teaching Hearing Handicaps Children This research introduced a mobile application (app) game for teaching hearing handicapped children. Hearing handicapped children are acknowledged to have problems for teaching and learning. Addressing the problems of teaching hearing handicapped children needs to take the advantages from the recent advanced mobile technology, such as mobile app game. The researchers also proposed a design model for the development of mobile application game that can teach and train the hearing handicapped children to learn new knowledge and for speaking purposes. They also proposed the block diagram of the voice recognition mobile apps game...
